Lacquer Madness!

Hello, everyone!! I hope you guys had an amazing weekend!

Before I continue with the main topic of this blog post, let me go ahead and tell you guys all about my weekend (whichI know y'all want to hear about it lol)!

This past weekend, I had my very first online party.  To be more specific, I had my online launch party for my Jamberry business!  I have to say, I was a bit quite nervous not because I was afraid that no one was going to purchase anything (my goal for my launch party was to invite my closest family and friends who were on Facebook & share with them what Jamberry was all about), but because I was afraid no one would RSVP or come to the online party.  I kept the guest list quite short as it was best to  just keep the party intimate.  I had a good amount of friends who did RSVP and participated during the party.  I was so happy that everyone had a great time during the 4-day event!  Games were played, prizes were won (plan is to mail out the prizes to those who lived far from me and hand out prizes to the ones that lived closer), a lot of interactions were made, and orders were placed as well!  Although I did not reach the goal for earning my Hostess Rewards, the important thing was that I had an amazing time!  I now feel more at ease after this, and know that I'll have more fun and do even better at my next online party!

Sisters' Style: October 2015

Hey, everyone!!  Hope all of you are having an awesome Saturday so far! Even though today's weather in Anderson is super gloomy, cloudy, and rainy, my happiness and excitement is so big!  Why, you may ask?  Well, today is the day of my first online Jamberry party!  Online Launch Party, to be exact! I am super excited for tonight and the next 4 days! I am quite nervous as well because this is my first ever online party.  But, I am hoping it will turn out great and that I do well!

With that said, let's move on to the main topic of this post: Jamberry's Sisters' Style!

Hey, everyone! Happy Friday to all!  It is time for another awesome Jamberry blog post! 

Today's topic will be on...

Some fun facts about Jamberry! 

For starters, Jamberry was founded by 3 sisters - Lyndsey, Christy, and Keri.  Like most women, they loved getting manicures and pedicures but were tired  of spending way to much money for them. So, they decided brainstorm  a way for women to both feel pampered and beautiful AND feel empowered.  After a lot of hard work and investment, Jamberry was launched in late 2010.  Since then, Jamberry has grown so much. 

Jamberry now has over 300 different designs of nail wraps to choose from!  Jamberry has also become available for residents in Canada, and, most recently, Australia and New Zealand.  The best part is, Jamberry Independent Consultants in the U.S. can sell Jam Jamberry to anyone they know in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, whether it be a relative or a friend!

And The Jamicure Begins!

Hello, again! I think this is the first time that I have ever posted 2 blogs in 1 day.....

Jamberry must have an influence in me lol.

So, tonight after putting my kids to bed, I decided to make use of the sample sheet that my friend & Jamberry sponsor, Krista gave me. 

Can I just say that I am so eager to receive my Jamberry Starter Kit this Wednesday?!?!  Counting down the days!

Ok, back to my first Jamicure experience.

As I was saying, I decided to give myself my first ever Jamicure.  Because I do not have any of Jamberry's TruShine lacquers yet, I used ULTA's professional nail lacquer in the shade Strapless.  From the sample sheet, I used Jamberry's Sedona nail wrap.  I was going for the Fall feel :)

Thoughts

This was my very first time doing this ever (like I never wrote about this fact 10 times already in this post lol), so it was not as super perfect as the ones I see in Jamberry's Flickr photostream.  But, as the saying goes - practice makes perfect.

For those of you who might be thinking, "Oh my gosh, I have to purchase Jamberry's Application Kit (which includes: 2 alcohol wipes, 1 pair of nail scissors. 1 pair of nail clippers, 1 buffer block, 2 orange sticks, 1 rubber cuticle pusher. and 1 nail file) AND Jamberry's  Mini Heater just to apply these nail wraps on my nails??" Purchasing these items are completely optional. When you sign up as a Jamberry Independent Consultant, your Starter Kit comes with all of these.  For customers, they have the option of purchasing them whenever they would like.  You most definitely can use whatever you have at home, which is what I did tonight because I did not receive y Starter Kit in the mail yet. Those handy items that I am sure most people have at home are:

• a blow dryer
• nail file
• cuticle pusher (aka orange sticks)
• nail cutter or nail scissors

And that's it! You are basically ready to apply those pretty nail wraps!

Applying the nail wraps (I used the Sedona nail wrap as an accent nail wrap - I placed a nail wrap on each ring finger0 was super easy! It took me about 10-15 altogether (including applying the base coat, the nail lacquer, and the top coat) to finish doing my nails.  It is super easy and super fast to apply Jamberry's nail wrap.  Do not get frustrated if you don't get it perfect right away... keep practicing, and soon you will look like you just had a professional manicure!

Happy First Day of October!

It is officially October! October is the month (at least in my household) that's filled with Fall Festivals and Fall Carnivals, birthdays, anniversaries (10 years this year with my honey), and, of course, HALLOWEEN!

I do not go all out dressing up for Halloween, unfortunately. I do, however, purchase some kind of headpiece (for example, cat's ears), put a little makeup on, and be a pretty Catwoman. Both of my kids, however, absolutely loves dressing up for Halloween. It's that holiday where they can let their imaginations run wild and dress up as their favorite character. I mean, what kid does not like Halloween??
