My "WHY" on Why I Joined Jamberry
I first got introduced to Jamberry about a year back from one of my daughter's friend's mom in school. At that time, I couldn't really splurge on any sort of manicure, much less joining Jamberry. Then a few weeks ago, another one of my daughter's friend's mom re-introduced me to Jamberry world. I must admit, I was a bit iffy on jumping to this kind of investment. But, after so much research, reading up on Jamberry and the company, talking to my friend more about her experience, and talking to my husband about it, I finally decided to become a Jamberry Independent Consultant! I am literally a new consultant, as in 1-day-old consultant (I joined yesterday).
Now you might be wondering why am I already started a new blog site about Jamberry when I just literally became a consultant. Consider this my introduction to this blog :)
Once I registered to become a consultant and paid for my kit, I began to familiarize myself with the Jamberry Consultant page. There is a section on the website under "Resources and Training" called "Jamberry U." It is basically like a "school" online per se where you get trained and helps you get familiar with Jamberry. I am not done with all the courses yet, but so far, I am learning a lot..
There is a lesson plan in "Jamberry U" on the question "Why." Why did you decide to join Jamberry and become an Independent Consultant. As I was watching the video, I immediately knew why I joined Jamberry.
Here goes...
For those of you who do not know me, I am a mother to 2 beautiful children, ages 7 and 8. They are the joy of my life. I am also a wife (technically a fiancé, but we have been together for almost 10 years that we just consider ourselves "married" - there will be a future wedding, though) to my amazing husband, John. We are originally from New York, but we moved to Anderson, SC 4 years ago.
Moving to SC was definitely a big change for us. But we considered it a whole chapter in our lives.
My new chapter, however, did not really begin so well. Not even a month after we moved to SC and got settled into our new apartment, I had a freak accident. Who knew towel drying my hair would make me end paralyzed that same day and remained to be paralyzed for almost a month. Thankfully, with lots of prayers and intensive OT and PT sessions, I was able to regain everything within 3 weeks after the accident.
Despite of such a huge improvement in such a short period of time, the spine injury did a lot of damage to my nerves and my hips. To this day, I have yet to regain my balance. I get around the apartment and short distances with a walker; long-distance tips, I am in a wheelchair.
Don't get me wrong, I am not at all angry about everything turned out. I am beyond thankful and blessed to have lived through all of that. I am thankful and blessed that I am still here to be a mommy to my children and a wife to my husband.
Now here comes the "Why" part.
Every day is a challenge for me. There is not a day when I am pain-free. Every day, I sometimes wish that I could go out there and do something, make some income - to just be the way I was prior to the accident. Currently, my husband is working 3 jobs (crazy, right), which are all part time jobs, but his hours fluctuate. Don't get me wrong, we are doing better financially than before. But, I wanted to do something to help out a little - make my own contribution. I wanted to be able to help get those things that I consider "needs" and "wants."
Thanks to my good friend, Krista, I found Jamberry. Krista is also a Jamberry Independent Consultant. She took me under her wings and helped me become an Independent Consultant. She put up (and still is) with my numerous questions about everything.
Jamberry helped me find what I was looking for. I wanted something that not only I can earn extra income, but I can do while working in the comfort of my own home. I wanted something where I can host parties online or tell everyone about Jamberry without having to leave the house every day. No, I am not anti-social. I obviously cannot go anywhere by myself without having someone's help. And yes, any chance that I am out and about, I will tell people about Jamberry.
I also joined Jamberry to have fun. I did not join Jamberry to compete with others or just for the sole purpose of making money. I know that diving into this kind of career will have good days and bad days. But , I know that persistence and motivation will help me succeed. I do believe that the most important tactic to succeed in Jamberry is to have fun. I feel like if you don't feel like you are having fun or loving what you are doing, you'll end up in a stump every month.
Motivation. Persistence. Believing in what you are doing. Having fun and loving every minute of it.
Keeping all these as my motivational factors will truly inspire me to do well in Jamberry!
